Hello there! Would it be wrong of us to say "G'day Mates?" (Sorry, you probably get that a lot from folks in the U.S.) Thank you for joining our message boards. We hope that they will be a resource for you to learn more about your Corvette. We are glad you posed the questions you did, but we will also be honest with you in saying that tracking down the type of information you are looking for will be difficult. We can help you with your color questions by pointing you here: 1988 Corvette Spec Page This should be able to give you at least some idea about your car (providing you have the VIN tag and the GM build tag from inside the car (usually located either in the center console, the glovebox, or the inside of the driver/passenger door.) If you can locate that tag, you can identify everything from original color to what options came with your car. Regarding export dates, you'd need to determine first if the car was originally built to be exported or not. If it was, then it should be a relatively simple matter to figure out when/where it was shipped from/to. If it was shipped later, it would be nearly impossible to determine that unless you had a record of the shipping manifest. We say all this not to discourage you, but to just acknowledge that it is, potentially, going to be a bit of a trick to figure out. If you would like to send us the VIN number (you can email us at email@corvsport.com), we can certainly help give you some specific information about your car (such as when it was built, which number it was (of the total number of Corvettes built that year), etc.) Thanks again for joining our message boards. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi there...or G'day mates indeed...
Firstly thank you so much for your reply, at least we know were we stand..we don;t think it was built for import specifically we believe whoever purchased shipped it out to Australia and had left hand drive converted to right hand. However I will send you the VIN by email and if you could reply with whatever information we would be greatful for that...
Thank you so much....from 2 entusiastic corvette owners downunder...:-)
