Just wanted to ask the Corvette community - what are your opinions of the Opti-spark ignition on the newer C4 Corvettes? I have read a lot of differing opinions about it and I was wondering if it's: A.) reliable and B.) Expensive to fix when it breaks? Some people seem to think its junk while others defend it. Thoughts??

I guess its a good system, it seems reliable, but the down side is that when it goes it is a pain to fix, rather expensive, really don't understand why you would put a system that is vulnerable to water right under the water pump. Once replaced the new one's are vented so its less of a problem

I did a lot of internet searching and I bought a new opti spark for around 65.00. You can go all the way up to 200.00.
good luck
