Is there any way to use my vin number to find out how my car was originally equipped? Such as rear end ratio or anything on it other than standard equipment.

It is possible to determine all the options on your Corvette. It just requires a little know how. First, have you ever been able to locate the VIN Option Label on your Corvette? On all C4 Corvettes, the label should have been located in either the center console or in the glove box of your vehicle. It could (although unlikely) also be located on the interior of the driver's side door just below the strike/lock assembly.
If you can locate this label, you will find it contains a bunch of 3 digit codes. These are your RPO (Regular Production Options) that were selected when your Corvette was originally ordered/built. Each code stands for a unique option. Once you've located these codes, you can visit our website to translate what each of the codes means. Simply look your car up by year and select the VIN/Options label under that model year.
There are a few instances where the European models have options that were not available in the United States. If your car has any RPO codes that you cannot identify, please let us know what they are so that we can, in turn, let you know each RPO represents.

Just a quick follow up to my earlier response. I have included a sample Vehicle Parts Identification Tag so that you have a better idea what I am talking about. You will note that the tag's proper location is on the underside of the center console armrest. You should have no problem finding it, but I would encourage you to check and confirm that the VIN number on the upper left portion of the tag matches the VIN tag on your windshield. I mention this only because it is possible that the center console armrest may have been replaced if the original was cracked or damaged in some way. Once you have your codes, visit the following link to translate what each of your Vehicle Parts Codes means: www.corvsport.com/Corvette/C4/1992-1996/1992/C4_1992_VIN.htmlGood luck! Attachments:
